"Mary J. Blige Brings Her Iconic Songs to Life in Two New Movies - Get Ready to Feel the Real Love and Strength of a Woman!"

Coming this summer, two new original movies based on Mary J. Blige's best-selling songs are set to premiere on Lifetime. The movies, Mary J. Blige’s Real Love and
Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman will be aired on June 10 and 17, respectively.
Both films are produced by John and Jordan Davis, alongside

The movies are headlined by talented actors Ajiona Alexus and Da'Vinchi, with a supporting cast that includes Princess Davis, Austin Anozie, Millan Tesfazgi, Shiraine Haas, Garfield Wilson, and Hamza Fouad. The films follow the highs and lows of young Black love and continue the story of Kendra and Ben, 15 years after their initial encounter. Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman shows Kendra, now a successful photographer, struggling in a failing marriage and being forced to confront her past decisions. When Ben unexpectedly reappears in her life, Kendra is faced with a crisis and must find the strength to take control of her life and accept the love Ben is offering.

The movies are supported by the Take Back The Night Foundation®, a non-profit organization committed to ending all forms of sexual violence and supporting survivors in their healing journeys.

Mary J. Blige is an executive producer through her production banner, Blue Butterfly, with Ashaunna K. Ayars and Q. Nicole Jackson as co-producers. Lifetime has partnered with Front Street Pictures and Sony Pictures Television to distribute the films. Camrus Johnson directs Mary J. Blige’s Real Love from a script written by Sonja Warfield and Rachel Ingram, while Shari Lynette Carpenter directs Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman from a script written by Ingram.
