Coming this summer, two new original movies based on Mary J. Blige's best-selling songs are set to premiere on Lifetime . The movies, Mary J. Blige ’s Real Love and Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman will be aired on June 10 and 17, respectively. Both films are produced by John and Jordan Davis, alongside Mary J. Blige, Ashaunna K. Ayars, and  Q. Nicole Jackson. The movies are headlined by talented actors Ajiona Alexus and Da'Vinchi, with a supporting cast that includes Princess Davis, Austin Anozie, Millan Tesfazgi, Shiraine Haas, Garfield Wilson, and Hamza Fouad. Janet Jackson: Family First Documentary Gets Greenlit by Lifetime and A&E, Following the Success of Acclaimed Documentary Janet Jackson and Its 21 Million Viewers.

  Lifetime and A&E have announced a continuation of the story of Janet Jackson, following the success of their #1 documentary of 2022 which was seen by 21 million viewers. The new documentary, titled "Janet Jackson: Family First," will follow the iconic singer, songwriter, producer, author, actor, philanthropist, and global icon as she embarks on her 2023 "Together Again" tour and reunites with her family band after 40 years since their last performance. The documentary will give an exclusive, intimate, and honest look at her life, family, and legendary artistry, in her own words and experiences. The documentary is currently being filmed and will simulcast on Lifetime and A&E, with the release date yet to be announced. It is being produced by Workerbee, a Banijay UK company, with Janet Jackson and Randy Jackson serving as executive producers.
