Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame Black History Month Induction Ceremony and Brunch Celebration.

  On February 28th, 2023, Hosted held its 4th installation of the Crown Jewel of Excellence™ Black History Month Class of 2023 Induction Ceremony and Brunch Celebration at the Thompson Buckhead Hotel. The event was followed by The Black History Month Celebratory Brunch. VIPs in attendance included Will Packer, Yolanda Adams, Dallas Austin, Vashawn Mitchell, Mayor Andre Dickens, Representative Park Cannon, Isaac Carree, Wardell Malloy, and founders Catherine Brewton, Hon. Erica Thomas, Demmette Guirdy, and Michael T. Mauldin. The event honored three distinguished inductees. Ambassador Andrew Young, a leader in the Civil Rights movement, is renowned for his legacy as a civic activist, elected official, groundbreaking ambassador, social entrepreneur, and adviser to presidents. KICKS + KOCKTAILS a Sneaker Ball for a Great Cause

  Positive American Youth (PAYUSA) cordially invited guests to attend the KICKS + KOCKTAILS sneaker ball for a great cause fundraising gala on Saturday, February 25th at The Venue at Westcobb, located at 3999 Austell Road, Austell GA. The red-carpet benefit featured a silent auction, live entertainment, and complimentary cocktails from Sovereign Brands, including Official Bellaire and original Bumbu. Guests enjoyed a catered dinner by GooodNewz BBQ hosted by Majic107.5 radio personalities Reec Swiney, Carol Blackmon, Maria More, and Deidra Thomas. Attendees also received complimentary sneakers and gift bags sponsored by Athletes Foot, PRGood360.org, and PAYUSA. KICKS + KOCKTAILS raised funds to support Positive American Youth’s food pantry and free community events. The Honda Battle of the Bands 2023: A Celebration of Historically Black Colleges and Universities

  On February 18, 2023, the Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase took place at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. The event featured six marching bands from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), including the Alabama State University Mighty Marching Hornets, Langston University Marching Pride, Morgan State University Magnificent Marching Machine, Savannah State University Powerhouse of the South, Texas Southern University Ocean of Soul, and Virginia State University Trojan Explosion. Hosted by Alabama State University alum Ricky Smiley and Prairie View A&M University alumna Loni Love, the event was a celebration of the rich musical traditions of HBCUs. Brat & Judy Having a Baby

  Da Brat, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, is a famous rapper radio personality and actress who has been making music for many years. She has just announced some exciting news she is going to have a baby with her wife Jessica Dupree “BB Judy”.  The couple broke the news with an interview with People magazine. Da Brat at the age of 48 didn’t think having kids would be in her cards. KENDRA & JOC Celebrate HYPE HAIR MAGAZINE Cover Star-Studded Event

  On Wednesday, Kendra and Joc celebrated their cover feature in H YPE HAIR MAGAZINE with a star-studded, intimate event at Ventanas in Atlanta. The power couple, who have become a fixture in the Atlanta entertainment scene, were joined by friends, family, and industry peers to commemorate this momentous occasion. The event was a visual spectacle, sponsored by Mielle Hair Care Products. Kendra and Joc arrived looking regal and elegant, with Kendra in a stunning gold gown and Joc in a dapper plaid suit. The two posed for photos and mingled with guests before unveiling their cover. One of the highlights of the event was a special performance from rapper Erica Banks, who took the stage to perform her hit song "Ain’t Got Time" The crowd was electrified by her performance. Throughout the evening, guests were treated to delicious appetizers , and cocktails, all while mingling with some of the most influential people in Atlanta's entertainment industry.
